Abstract Macro photograph of Peacock Feathers

I love patterns and use them in many of my original paintings. I had taken several pictures of peacocks at the Philadelphia zoo and used them as inspiration for several paintings. In most cases, the tail feathers are often used as inspiration for artwork. But, I was intrigued by the patterns and colors on the body of the peacock. The gorgeous blues and greens on top and the black and white details on the bottom of the main body of the bird.

This is a macro image of a section of the feathers that I turned into a 'wearable art' glass tile pendant.
