Artwork to appear in new film 'The Roommate" airing Feb 4th :: Spot the Art- Win a Print Contest!

Several of my small prints and one large original painting were purchased for use in a new film "The Roommate" starring Leighton Meester ("Gossip Girl), Minka Kelly ("Friday Night Lights"), and Cam Gigandet ("Twilight" series). The film is being directed by Christian E. Christiansen and is due in theaters February 4, 2011.

Out There 24x24 Acrylic on Canvas

This is the first time that my artwork has been used in a film, so I am very excited! It should be fun to watch the film and try to spot the images. :) The prints are supposed to be used on the bulletin boards in the dorm rooms. These are small prints, so they may be difficult to spot, but hopefully we'll see some of them. A total of 8 prints were purchased. So, they may appear in more than one scene.

The original painting "Out There" is supposed to appear in the final scene of the movie where a 'culminating drama' takes place.  The original painting is 24x24, so it should be easier to spot.

::CONTEST::
If you are the first person to write about the movie on my blog, facebook or twitter page and provide details as to where you saw the image, I will send you an 8x10 canvas print of the image you saw. (Or another of your choice.) Provide details and the title of the image that you saw. (Can't just say "Dorm Room Bulletin Board", or "Final Scene of the Movie" as these are hints that I already provided. :) )

Good luck! I look forward to seeing the movie and seeing who wins the prints!!

  4. I haven't been to the movies in years, and will probably not see "The Roommate" until it makes it's way to Netflix, but I'm very excited for you, Kristen!
