DIY 3D Candy Wrapper Post-it Paper Lace Star Snowflake Ornament Tutorial (harp solo O Come Emmanuel)

EBook with crochet ornaments now available.

I first saw these snowflakes at an elementary school event and fell in love with them.  They are relatively easy to make and have a beautiful lace-like swirl to them.

There are so many ways to make them. You can use any square piece of paper or foil.  Post-it notes and origami Sheets are easy because they are already in a square shape. But I like to use reclaimed papers whenever I can.  So candy and chocolate wrappers work really well.  They are lightweight and usually easy to glue.  If you have a large square paper punch, you can also make these out of aluminum foil or old wrapping paper.

Any 6 similarly sized squares will work.

Enjoy!

Thank you to my daughter who provided the background music on the harp at age 12. The song is “O Come Emmanuel”.
