New crochet lace motif pattern for an open-shoulder shell. This was inspired by the capelet pattern I designed earlier this month.  The open shoulder allows for greater ease of movement and a nice modern design while still paying tribute to the vintage look of lace. The 6 pointed floral motif has a bit of a snowflake look to it, so, I bet you could make this in white yarn for a pretty layering piece for winter.  The golden yellow yarn is called Autumn Maize from the Caron Simply Soft Collection. It’s a beautiful color for a wide-range of skin tones.
