Tunisian stitch demo with double ended crochet hook 2 color croknit Crohook by Kristen Stein Designs
In this video I work through a few rows of a stitch I’ve been experimenting with. It begins with a crochet braided chain which I showed in a video yesterday. It works in two directions using elements of Tunisian Crochet and Crohooking/croknitting using a double-crochet hook. The stitch is bulky, secure, woven and doesn’t curl. Might be great for a cardigan, heavy sweater, handbag, pillow, towel, blanket, belt, phone case, winter accessories, other home decor, etc. if you try it out, tag me and let me know what you made. It’s certainly colorful and fun!! I’m going to work through a swatch that doesn’t wrap around the whole stitch to see if I can get a little greater flexibility in the panel.

Update: Here’s how the stitch changed when I used the top spine loop in the forward pass.
